Sunshine Coast ‘Instameet’ images to be beamed to the world. Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) is delighted to announce a visit to the region by Canon Collective from 3-5 March, 2018.
Following a string of initiatives by VSC to attract more digital influencers and photographers to the region, this latest coup of exclusive Canon instameets will be held across the Coast over three days.
“Canon Collective are holding several instameets across the Sunshine Coast region to assist hobbyist and professional photographers to get out there to share their passion with the digital world via social media,” said Colin Baker, Consumer Experience Manager of Canon Australia Pty Ltd.
“We love the Sunshine Coast region – such a great holiday destination which provides more opportunities to shoot postcard appeal and with some of the best local restaurants in the country it’s a great balance of beach, mountains, food and travel. Where else can we meet a group of all ages to challenge, educate and inspire in such a welcoming community?
The Sunny Coast is the place to be for that refreshed feeling with your photography.” VSC CEO, Simon Latchford welcomed the opportunity to work with a global company such as Canon to cement the region’s growing reputation as a photographer’s paradise.
“Our strategy of the past two years has been to increase brand awareness of the Sunshine Coast through digital channels and this demonstrates another major initiative to promote the region.
“Destination imagery is the number one tool to inspire travel and convert bookings to our region.
It tells our Sunshine Coast story in a powerful way, and the levels of engagement we get when we share some of these amazing images on our social channels is just extraordinary.
“It’s really exciting to support an initiative that matches our region’s inspirational locations with a group of talented photographers, to capture the best of our diverse landscapes and share this with the rest of the world. We are truly a natural mecca for photographers!” added Mr Latchford.
Chef Simon Taylor said, “With its nautical interiors and iconic waterfront views,Pier 33 welcomes the Canon Collective food photographers to the ‘Shoot the Chef’ session
“Knowing we dish up some of the best locally sourced produce in Queensland, we’re looking forward to seeing how the photographers will capture some menu favourites like, the Whole Market Fish with Lemon Caper Butter and Sorrel or the Noosa Reds Tomato Salad with Fresh Maleny Milk Ricotta”.
